   Neva Andrews draws on her farm experiences during the Great Depression for much of her writing. Many of her horse experiences appeared in a farm/ranch magazine before she started the Jo Barkley stories. Andrews now lives with her darghter and son-in-law on an organic produce farm in Minnesota.
